Assessor

The Assessor is responsible for ensuring that all assessments are properly, that the grand list is an accurate reflection of all taxable and tax exempt property in the municipality and that the values of all Town real properties reflect the fair market value. The Assessor is also responsible for inspecting and inventorying new construction and major improvements, approving and tracking property tax exemptions, reviewing and recording every transfer of real property in the town.
