Assessment Appeals Notice Issued
The Board of Assessment Appeals of the Town of Bethany will be holding their annual appeal meetings on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, March 26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and also on Saturday March 28th 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These meetings will be held in the Assessorís Office at the Bethany Town Hall, 40 Peck Road to hear appeals relating to assessments for Real Estate Property and Business Personal Property on the Grand List of October 1, 2014 and Supplemental Vehicles for Grand List 2013. All persons claiming to be aggrieved by the actions of the Assessor on said list are hereby warned to submit their written appeal by February 20, 2015.
Written applications are mandatory and no appeal will be heard without one. Applications may be obtained from the Assessorís office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All applications must be filled out and received in the Assessorís office no later than 4:30 p.m. on February 20, 2015. All persons filing proper applications shall be notified of the date, time and place of appeal hearing.
You must appear in person, or you must send a duly authorized representative who must bring evidence of authorization.

There is a $5.00 daily fee per car load for non-residents at Veteran's Memorial Park. For an individual season pass the fee is $50.00, and for a family season pass the fee is $100.00. Please contact Parks and Recreation at 203-393-2100x127 to purchase passes, and for further information.
