The Economic Development Commission is responsible for the promotion
and development of the town's economic resources. The commission:

conducts research into economic conditions and
trends

makes recommendations to appropriate
officials and agencies regarding action to improve the
economic condition and development

coordinates the activities of
and cooperates with unofficial bodies organized to promote economic
development

advertises and prepares materials which will further its official
purposes
