About the Bethany Playhouse
The Bethany Playhouse was founded in 2004 by Bethany resident
Maria Douglas. She felt the town needed an artistic venue for
adults to explore their own talents and the Playhouse was the
perfect place to do it. The goals of the Playhouse were to get
the community actively involved by producing a caliber of shows
that everyone could enjoy and perhaps participate in. Some of
their past work includes; Neil Simon's, The Female Odd
Couple, Dracula:The Musical?, and Saturday Night
At The Improv. But, it's the comedy dinner shows they hold
annually at Bethany's Lakeview Lodge, that the town really looks
forward to.
The dinner shows are interactive with the audience and always
include a full dinner. The scripts are original works that are
written by playhouse members and have included; Bethany Hills
06524 by Kathleen Schurman and CSI-Bethany by Paul
Roth.
