Spring is here and The Bethany Playhouse is at it again. The time of year when Bethany’s residents can look forward to their annual Dinner Theater production.
This original script, is set back in 1875, at a time when the west was wild and free, when legends were born due to the lack of any law. The story is based around the Saloon’s current owners, Lucille Oakle (Maria Douglas) and her mom, Granolina, ’Granny’ Oakley (June Riley), two of the most notorious con-artists in the West. Granny’s recent obsession to eliminate the resident beaver, due to destruction on her property, has placed the appropriately named, That Dam Beaver Saloon, into bankruptcy. Her daughter Lucy, has decided to hold a World Class Poker Tournament in order to save the Saloon from financial ruin. This tournament is certain to attract the likes of Billy The Mid-life Crisis Kid (Malcolm Brinton), The Lonely Ranger (Pete Michetti), Wyatt Earp (Don Ellis), Calamity Jane (Lynn Leite), Pancho "Blondie Villa (Colin Douglas), Jesse James, (Bruce Hirshfield) and many, more.
This musical comedy is completely interactive and begins the moment your boots enter through the front door. Saloon girls, brawls, shoot outs and a full chuck wagon dinner complete the ambiance. ...
